JOHN HENRY FOLCKEMER
PRATTSBURGH – John Henry Folckemer, 55, passed away Friday (April 20, 2018) at Rochester Unity Hospital. He was born in Bath, New York of December 20, 1962, the son of the late Harry Folckemer and still surviving, Ludmilla Rutherford.
John was a master craftsman and brilliant cabinet maker for 40 years. He loved to cook and was an outstanding chef. He was an avid hunter and fisherman; motorcycle rider and loved camping. John fulfilled his dream of cross country camping in a vintage camper that was built in 1960 and which he totally refurbished by himself. He had a great sense of humor – telling the best ever jokes. He loved his children and friends more than anything in the world. John was immensely proud of his children.
He was predeceased by his sister, Harryetta Parrish and ex-wife, Kim Marie. He is survived by his children, daughter, Tina (Casper) Kramer and son, John Folckemer; sister, Angelika (Scott) McDonald, sister, Sonya May, brother, Harry (Janette) Folckemer, sister, Jeanette (Dale) Martin, sister, Mary (Jeff) Gilbert; grandson, Jullian and granddaughter, Kinsley. Also, his pride and joy and loving companion, his Yorkshire terrier, Mr. Gizmo.

My heart is broken. John’s friendship was a blessing. Our family gatherings and long talks meant the world to me. He was of great support to me and always helped me see the brighter side of things. His ability to make me laugh with his story telling was the best of times. I love him so much and will miss him terribly. John was one of a kind.
Our deepest sympathies to all of John’s family. We were very sad to hear of his passing. He was a good man & well respected. We always looked forward to his visits at camp & riding atv’s. We enjoyed his sense of humor & were so impressed with his magnificent talent in woodworking.
He was a great person to have known & will be terribly missed.

So sorry to hear of John’s passing. We attended the same Elementary School and we also rode the same bus for years. I recall he enjoyed to laugh and he liked to make others laugh as well. Condolences to the family and deepest sympathies. Prayers.
