In his younger years, he was an avid trapper and hunter, a hobby he passed on to his son and grandsons.
He was a veteran of the Korean War, where he proudly served as a driving instructor in the Army in Germany.

  1. Uncle Jack will always have a special place in my heart. Him and my father were and always will be unique and special individuals.

I will always remember when I was young, and Uncle Jack thought that he should pierce my nose with a bull ring. Who knew back then that piercings such as this would become so popular.

I know deep in my heart that Uncle Jack is no longer suffering and that my father, Aunt Genny, Aunt Betty, and Aunt Pauline, Grandpa Tietjen, and Grandma Grace were all waiting for him with open arms. Heaven will be much livelier now that Uncle Jack and Dad have been reunited.

Even though all of us with miss seeing you, I feel better knowing that you and Dad are once again together.

    Love,

    Your niece – Pam
