He was also known for his various hobbies, which included camping, stamp collecting, lock smithing, bird watching, canning, and cooking. Gregory was a member of his local Moose Club, the CB Jamborie Campground where he spent many summers relaxing and enjoying the company of his friends and family, and a 32nd degree Mason.
Gregory was predeceased by his mother Thelma (Austin) Edwards; father Floyd B. Edwards; and brother-in-law Theodore Dickerson. He is survived by and will live on in the loving memory of his wife Phyllis (Smith) Edwards; daughter Stephanie A. Edwards (Doan); son-in-law Timothy Doan; grandchildren Emily Doan, Jacob Doan, and Hannah Swimley; sister Ann (Edwards) Dickerson; brother Thomas Edwards; sister-in-law Judy Edwards; brother-in-law Phillip Smith; nieces and their families Kim Edwards-Potter, Jason Potter, Keirstyn Edwards, Jordan Potter; Rebecca (Edwards) Copp, Joshua Copp, Braedyn Copp, Cara Copp; and Lauren Edwards.

Greg was an awesome person and friend. He was one hell of a Firefighter, never backing away from a dangerous situation. I will cherish the memories and miss him. Rest in Peace “Gooch”.
