  1. Uncle Don and my father shared many things but the I remember is that they taught us how to laugh.

  2. We have so many wonderful memories of Uncle Don……..I loved going to the farm in Cameron when I was growing up. I was just telling my girlfriend the other day how we would climb the trees, watch the sheep get sheered (the little lambs were so cute), ride horses, (loved Pam’s “Sugar” pony) eat big family meals, play by the creek (crick, and even shoot a gun! The annual Silsbee Christmas’s at our house in Big Flats were great fun. Uncle Don always had a smile on his face and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He was such a hard worker, always doing good……..His and Aunt Lou’s 50th wedding anniversary was a wonderful time……and we were so happy that he and the whole family were able to make it to mom and dad’s 40th surprise annviersary at Harris Hill. His love for his wife and family are is so commendable. We will always cherish the beautiful picture of him in his uniform and mom as a little girl with pretty red hair sitting on his lap,the caring big brother watching out for the little sister. Mom and dad have that picture prominently displayed on the end table in their family room!………I feel blessed to have had such a wonderful uncle and to have shared a part of his life with him and him with me………..We wish we could all be there. Please know that we are thinking of you all and are there in thought, prayer, and spirit. We love you all very much. Please give Aunt Lou and especially big hug for us!
