  1. We are so sorry to hear of Bud’s passing. Knowing him all my life, I had nothing but great admiration and affection for his walk in life and the things he taught me personally and by example.
Bud was my Mason’s little league coach for 3 or 4 years and he didn’t even have any Boy’s. He called me whip. (I was his pitcher). After each game, win or lose, he would take us all to Miller’s store for a popsicle. Very impressive, greatful and unforgetable for a young boy.
After arriving in Arizona on November 2, 1960, Kitchie and I was in a car accident. My insurance ran out on November 1st. I frantically called Bud by pay phone only to have him say, don’t worry, your covered.
For many years when we came home from Arizona to visit Family, I always stopped by to say Hi to Bud.
Last November 15th I had the priviledge of having lunch with Bud and my Father, Donald Julien at Green Meadows in Painted Post. Their rooms were next to each other. we shared some wonderful stories that brought tears to my eyes.
What a wonderful Man. My Brother-in Law, George Muller called him his second Dad and I felt the same way. He will be remembered for who and what he was by everyone forever!
Our hearts and prayers are with Ginny, Lynne and Families.

  2. To Ginny and family, We are sorry for you loss. Bub and Lilah were a great couple and enjoyed many years together.

  3. To Buds family. We only came to know him in the last ten years. We were the care taker of his neighbor Arlene. You may not know it but he and Arlene had a way of knowing each other was up for the day and ok. That was by positioning the window shade of thier window seen by each other. If it was not, they called to check in on each other.
We were always amazed at the energy Bud had, out grooming his lawn every other day. He was a very thoughtful person.

  4. This is a great loss to our community. Bud was one in a trillion. I am going to miss the hugs and the chats we had at the Post Office. He’s now with his gal Lilah and they are holding hands and smiling at us. If we had more Bud Arnold’s in the world, all wars would cease and the world would be a better place. I am so glad Bud was a part of my life. His golfing buddies will miss him too.

  5. To Lynne and Family – We’re very saddened to hear of Bud’s passing. Your mom and dad were very special friends of my parents. Always enjoyed watching them play cards. We’re very sorry we won’t be able to attend the services. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

  6. To Ginny & Lynne and families….I’m sure you are aware of how much your father meant to me. Not just as Uncle Bud, but as a wonderful friend and as the “world’s best” boss. I am going to miss him immensily. He and Aunt Lilah were always very special to me.
Theirs was the perfect love story and now they can be together again. My thoughts are with you.

  7. Dear Lynne and Ginny,
Sincere regrets about the passing of your father and your mother last year. How blessed we are to have our parents as long as we do. And you were certainly blessed with good ones. I pray that you grief will be short and filled with the lively hope of seeing them again one day.
    Kind regards,
    Marilynne

  8. Ginny and family – I was sorry to hear that Bud passed away. Ginny – it was good that you were able to come up and spend the last few days with him. I am sure he is happy to be with Lilah again. Bud was a good man (heard it from others for years) and he will be missed by all, I am sure.

  9. A family friend and business man that everyone looked up to. We remember Bud, Dick Hunt and Jim Reynolds having there Bank of Avoca loan meetings at the meat counter in Dick Hunts store. All three some of Avoca’s best! Bud will be missed.

  10. What can I say about Bud that hasn’t been said. He was a very special man and like a second father to me-so many memories about their house in Avoca–their cottage on Keuka Lake and the fun things he did with Ginny and I. Lilah was my second mom and now they are UP there-hand & hand. Ginny Buddy you know you have my support ALWAYS!!
