THOMAS B. MacDOUGAL
AVOCA-Thomas B. MacDougal, 58, of Lysyczyn Road, passed away Friday evening (Dec. 11, 2015) at Guthrie Corning Hospital, after a long illness.
Born in Bridgeport, Conn. on Aug. 22, 1957, he was a son of the late Dale and Delores “Tootsie†(Thomas) MacDougal
A graduate of Avoca Central School, Tom served with the U.S. Army Reserves from 1978 to 1983.
He was employed by Airflow in Prattsburgh as a paint shop supervisor.
Tom was a life member of the Avoca Hose Co. #1 and enjoyed model trains, working outside as well as snowmobiling and 4 wheeling.
His loving family includes his wife, the former Sally Nesbet, who he married in Avoca on Sept. 12, 1987; his son, Christopher (Candice) MacDougal of Avoca; his brother, Bradley MacDougal of Horseheads; his two brothers-in-law, William (Martha) Bartle of Fremont, Richard (Ann) Nesbet of Hartsville; his sister-in-law, Ann (Larry) Murray of Geneseo; his many nieces and nephews; also his cousin Terry (Doug) Heinemann of Avoca and his “furry friends, “ Snickers and Smokey
The Avoca Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Thomas B. MacDougal.
Calling hours are 3-7 p.m. Wednesday at the Avoca Funeral Home, 22 N. Main St., Avoca, where a funeral service will be held following calling hours at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
