Steven A. Daniels

LABELLE, FL/AVOCA – Steven A. Daniels, 66, of Labelle, FL, formerly of Avoca, passed away peacefully Wednesday (Jan. 3, 2024) at Labelle Health and Rehab Center after an extended illness.

Born in Bath, NY on April 4, 1957 he was the son of the late Paul H. Daniels, Jr. and Lois (Schaeffer) Daniels, who survives. Besides his father, he was also predeceased by the love of his life, April on Dec. 11, 2013.

Steve graduated from Avoca Central Schol in 1977. He was employed in the State of Washington as a logger, the State of Alaska as an assistant fishing guide and retired as an employee of a chemical fertilizer company in Florida.

He enjoyed bowling, fishing and golf as his favorite pastime in Florida and adored his Chinese Crested dogs.

Surviving are his mother, Lois; three sisters, Susan Daniels (Zane Fairbrother, deceased), Sharon Wheaton (James, deceased) and Staci (Andrew Costine; one stepson, Brandon Klumpp; three nieces, two nephews and his aunt, Alice Rice.

There will be an hour of calling from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday (Feb. 3, 2024) at the Avoca Methodist Church where a funeral service will take place in his memory at 11 a.m. Saturday. A luncheon will follow at the church.

The Bishop & DeSanto Funeral Home, 22 N. Main St., AVOCA is honored to assist Steve’s family with the arrangements.

  2. To the entire family. I am so sorry to hear of Steve’s passing. Every memory I have of Steve starts with his smile. He loved the outdoors which was naturally acquired and I never saw him be anything other than respectful and considerate. Please accept my sincere condolences for your loss.
