SALLY LOUISE WESTBROOK

HAMMONDSPORT – Sally Louise Westbrook of Hammondsport, NY passed away on October 24, 2022. Sally was born December 11, 1951, to William and Alice (Tilden) Dunbar, and grew up in Little Valley, NY.

After graduation from SUNY Geneseo she went on to obtain a Master’s degree in Education. Sally taught kindergarten at Savona Central School for over 25 years, and after retirement she continued to enjoy gathering with friends she taught with.

Sally was an avid reader, and loved singing with local chorus groups. She enjoyed ice fishing, planning family vacations, traveling, and spending time with her cherished family.

Sally is lovingly survived by her husband of 49 years, Lee Westbrook; sons Christopher (Melissa) Westbrook of Shaker Heights, OH, Matthew (Sarah) Westbrook of Littleton, CO; grandsons Daniel, Adam, Ben, and Elijah; sisters Betsy (Carl) Carone of Jekyll Island, GA and Mary Elizabeth Dunbar of Ellicottville, NY.

Sally is predeceased by her sister Susan Shaw, and parents William and Alice Dunbar.

Calling hours are 2-4 p.m. Saturday (Oct. 29, 2022) at the Bishop & DeSanto Funeral Home, 35 Main St., Hammondsport. To honor her wishes there will be no funeral service at this time.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing may contribute in her memory to a charity of their choice.

The Bishop & DeSanto Funeral Home is honored to assist Sally’s family with the arrangements.
