Roxanne Waight

Almond- Roxanne Waight, 77, of Crescent Place, passed away early Saturday morning (Oct. 21, 2017) at Jones Memorial Hospital in Wellsville, following a long illness.

Born in Hornell on June 12, 1940, she was the daughter of the late William and Ruth (Edner) VanOrman. Besides her parents Roxy was also predeceased by her husband John H. “Jack” Waight on Nov. 7, 1994 and her son Richard Vosburg.

Roxy was a graduate of Alfred Almond Central School and worked for JC Penney’s in Hornell retiring in 2000. She then owned and operated R & B Guns in Almond with her significant other Bill Kleese.

She was a very social person and was a member of the Hornell VFW Auxillary and the Arkport American Legion Auxillary. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, enjoyed Facebook and was loved by everybody.

Her family includes her two sons, Harold Vosburg of Hornell and Mark Vosburg of Tyngsboro, Mass.; her two grandsons, Dawson and Carter; her brother, Fred (Pat) VanOrman of Maine; her nephews, Billy and Fred VanOrman and her significant other Bill Kleese.

The Bishop & Johnson Funeral Home, Inc. in Hornell is honored to serve the family of Roxanne Waight.

A celebration of life will be held at the Arkport American Legion on Sunday October 29, 2017 at 1:00 PM. Burial will at Bath National Cemetery.
