MAY E. PRIOR
BUFFALO-May E. Prior, 89, formerly of Buffalo, passed away Tuesday evening (May 21, 2013) at Blossom View Nursing Home in Sodus.
Born in Hornell on Dec. 28, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Grover C. anmd Anna Walsh Prior. Besides her parents, she was also predeceased by her daughter, Bonnie Prior Mosgrove; her three sisters, Eleanor Campbell, Marguerite Nicholson and Mary Cartella and her three brothers, William, Francis and Grover Prior.
Her family includes her sister, Virginia Nicholson of Ontario, N.Y.; her three grandchildren, Timothy Mosgrove, Candace Mosgrove and John Mosgrove; also her four great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held in her memory at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 12 at St. Ann’s Cemetery in Hornell.
Arrangements are with the Bishop & Johnson Funeral Home, Inc., 285 Main St., Hornell.
I remember May in Buffalo when Bonnie went to St. Elizabeth Acad, in Alleghany, I was a friend of Bonnie and I am sad to hear she passed away. May was an elegant women and Bonnie was a real friend to me. I was born in 1943. I think Bonnie was a year or so older, May they now be with each other and be at peace. I just happened to see this and wanted to let you know I care. Blessings and love to all. May lived on Niagara Street and if I ever pass by I think of her and Bonnie. Candy, I’m so very sorry for your loss. I know that your grandma was important to you all. I’m also sorry to see that your mother has passed on. I have fond memories of our trip to Nawlins, and it wouldn’t have been possible without her. My thought and prayers are with you all.
