MARY S. PECK

HORNELL-Mary S. Peck, 53, of 71 Church Street Court, passed away late Monday morning (March 22, 2010) at McAuley Manor in North Hornell, after a long illness.
Born on Oct. 10, 1956 in Troupsburg, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Elizabeth Roberts Peck.
A life long resident of Hornell, Mary was a graduate of Hornell High School, class of 1974 and was employed at the former Bethesda Community Hospital in North Hornell. She presently enjoyed attending the Mercy Care Break Adult Day Care at McAuley Manor.
Mary, who was the loving owner of three beautiful cockatiels, loved life and liked to spend time with her family and friends. She was also an avid fan of Donny and Marie Osmond and the entire Osmond Family. Mary will be remembered for her caring nature and her willingness to help those in need.
Her family includes her two brothers, John (Lauren) Peck of Avon, Edward Peck of Hornell; her foster brother, Gary Nunn of Rochester; her nieces and nephews; also several cousins and her many friends at Church Street Court and the Mercy Care Break Adult Day Care.
Calling hours are from 4-6 p.m. Thursday at the Bishop & Johnson Funeral Home, Inc., 285 Main St., Hornell, where a funeral and committal service will take place following calling hours at 6 p.m. Thursday, with Deacon Robert McCormick and Chaplain Astuti Bijlefeld officiating. Interment will be in Rural Cemetery, Hornell.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing may contribute in her memory to the Mercy Care Break Adult Day Care, 1 Bethesda Drive, Hornell, NY 14843. Envelopes for memorial contributions will be available at the funeral home.

  1. I was sorry to read about Mary’s passing. We grew up down the street from her and her brothers. I remember her fondly, sorry for your loss.

  2. Mary will be dearly missed love havin her at all of our little dinners and at our daughters b-day partys will always remember marys happy smiling face we love you mary you will forever be in our hearts
