LOHRE L. ORTOLANO
ALMOND-Lohre L. Ortolano (nee Erb/Fisher) formerly of Buffalo, was born on April 7, 1953 and passed after a long illness at the age of 56 on February 23, 2010. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends across the country.
She was the beloved wife of Joseph Ortolano for 13 years, mother of Kenneth Fisher of Hobart, Ind., sister of Gregory (Karen) of East Aurora, aunt of Noreen and great aunt to Noreen’s children; sister of Patty Schreier, Michele Freiert, Kathleen Dominick and Katie Constanza.
Lohre held a master’s degree in Special Education from Buffalo State College. She taught for many years, adoring all the children she helped.
She loved the outdoors, was an avid reader and loved pets, always having a dog by her side.
Services were held Saturday (Feb. 27, 2010) at the Bishop & Johnson Funeral Home, Inc. in Hornell and interment followed at Fairview Cemetery, Almond.
Lohre was a wonderful friend for over 40 years. I will miss her greatly. She is one of the most generous, sweet people I have ever had the pleasure to meet.
I will miss you as long as I should live. I will never have a friend with a heart as big as your’s However I do know one thing. I can’t wait to see you again in the afterlife. No more pain my friend.
Lohre…I knew you long ago and I am truly sorry for your pain but you are now pain free and looking down on us…I know you will be missed…God Bless and walk with the Angels….
