PRATTSBURGH – Kenneth Wayne Reagan, 81, of Prattsburgh, NY, passed away on Monday, August 3rd, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones.
He was born on April 6th 1945, to Willie Mae Reagan and Avery T. Reagan in High Point, North Carolina, and started his career early in life in the High Point Furniture Industry alongside his brother/best friend.
He later met the love of his life, and long-time friend, Rosalee A. Dinehart of Italy Hill, New York. That love moved him from North Carolina to Prattsburgh in his 1960 Ford Convertible, with his 1966 Honda Dream Motorcycle in the backseat, which he still owns today.
After relocating to Prattsburgh, he began his career at Taylor Wine Company as their one and only label operator, chief bottle washer, and “jack of all trades” for 53 years of his life.
Wayne was an avid collector of many, many things, but his most prized possession was his 3 children. Despite his love for North Carolina, he spent the remainder of his life in the Finger Lakes area with his children & grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
He enjoyed tinkering and collecting treasures most would call junk. He spent his time boating, snowmobiling, fishing, riding four-wheelers, and especially enjoyed sitting by a campfire planning his next trip to visit his family in North Carolina and his favorite beach, Kure Beach & the Fort Fisher area of North Carolina.
Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, Willie Mae and Avery Reagan, brothers Marvin Reagan and Irvin Reagan, sister-in-law Nancy Reagan, brother-in-law Ken Austerman, and son-in-law Kristopher Czymmek.
He is lovingly survived by his daughters Joy L. Reagan Lass (Matt Minekime) and Bonnie J. Reagan Czymmek, his son Gary (Gina) Avery Reagan, sister Kilda Austerman, several grandchildren including Samantha (Adam), Cody (Gabby), Sheldon, Dominic, Jamison, Averianna, Jesse, Leah, and Michael “Vince”, bonus grandchild Cameron; and his great-grandchildren Slade, Kennedy, Eleanor, and Klyde. Wayne was also blessed to be loved by many other family members and friends.
He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
The family invites all who knew and loved him to remember and celebrate his life.
Calling hours will be held Friday, August 28, 2026, at the Bishop & DeSanto Funeral Home, 35 Main St., Hammondsport, New York, from 2:00-5:00 PM, where a funeral service will be held at 5:00 PM.
For those wishing to make a charitable donation in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Prattsburgh Volunteer Ambulance Department, Po Box 232, Prattsburgh, NY 14873, in memory of Kenneth Wayne Reagan.
