JAMES M. WRAIGHT

AVOCA-James M. Wraight, 60, passed away suddenly on Saturday (Aug. 8, 2015) at his home on Waterbury Hill Road.
Born in Bath on June 29, 1955 he was a son of the late Duane and Doris Graham Wraight.
Employed in sales with Griffith Energy of Rochester, Jim was a great outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding motorcycles. He was also a fire arms enthusiast and was a member of the NRA.
His family includes his two sons, Michael Wraight of Bath and Robert Rice of Orlando, Fla.; his partner, Marcella Mathews of Avoca; his three siblings, Clark (Jean) Wraight of Texas, Steven (Sandy) Wraight of Ithaca and Carole Wraight of Bristol; his best friend, George Buck; his stepdaughter, Laura Kelley of Elmira; his stepson, Francis Mathews of Elmira; his dog, Sniffer; also his nieces and nephews.
The Avoca Funeral Home, 22 N. Main St. in Avoca is honored to serve the family of James M. Wraight.
A funeral service will be held in his memory at the Avoca United Methodist Church at a date and time to be announced. Interment will be in Valley View Cemetery, Avoca.

  2. Jim was A Great Man and Friend That I will Miss. Jim and I worked together a Griffith and after work one evening He Helped my Wife and I Bury our Family Pet Dog. He Did not ask to Help , He just grabbed a Shovel and started digging. He Understood what the Dog meant to us. Jim certainly meant a lot to Us. My thoughts and Prayers to His family and friends.
