  1. I am sorry to hear about the passing Mr. Weikal. He was a beloved neighbor for 20 years. I grew up on Pearl Street saying hello to the Weikals, as they sat on their front porch, watching us kids walk to the school park. He could always be seen mowing his lawn with his trusty push mower and working around the house. I will always remember him on Halloween handing out shiny new nickels on a silver platter!
    May you Rest in Peace.

  2. As a former member of the church, I well remember Mr. Weikel. Even after I had left Hornell, he would ask my parents about me. When I visited, he was always at the church ready, with outstretched hand, to welcome me and make me feel at home. He will be sorely missed.
