Prior to her retirement she was employed at the former St. James Mercy Hospital in Hornell as a switchboard operator.

Helen was a member of Our Lady of the Valley Parish and was a communicant of St. Ann’s Church in Hornell. While she was married, Helen and her husband Everett enjoyed traveling. She loved the NY Mets and was probably their number one fan.

  1. So very sorry to hear of this …
Rest Easy Helen – you were a good friend back in our St James days. I will always remember standing at the swtichboard talking with you … there was always a bit of gossip along with a ton of giggles.

  2. I have known Helen since I was a young boy running errands for Molly Doran. She remained my friend ever since. A kind woman, who was never afraid to tell you what was on her mind. Rest in Peace Helen, peace and blessings.

  3. Helen was such a humorous, kind and a wonderful person. If you needed to know anything about StJames she was the one to come to. She knew where to tell you to go places, phone numbers. Always looked forward to seeing Helen at the switchboard when I was working or if I had someone in the hospital. She was a great asset to St James. Sad to hear of her passing, she is enjoying herself in the great Kingdom.
