I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I remember your Mom making my wedding cake and what a great job she did. May you all find God’s comfort during this time. My sympathy..
Kevin, vicki and family: WE are so sorry to hear the loss of your mother, inlaw, grandmother, and anyone related to her in any way. She was such a wonderful lady. I know our son Jon really enjoyed going to her house with Matt. He will miss her also. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this most difficult time.
Please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.
Respectfully,
While sitting in St. Ann’s church today at Mrs H’s funeral, I found my mind wandering. Growing up a few houses away, much of my childhood was spent up the street at their house. For a short while today, I was a little boy again.I was at their house after my half day of kindergarten Kevin and I were getting yelled at for running through the house,(trying to get away from granny who wanted to kiss us). Then we were scolded for sneaking sugar from the pantry and eating it with a spoon(Kevin made me do it!). I have so many great memories from those days. Mrs. Hanrahan was what everyone needed in a mother. If you needed a hug, you got one. If you needed discipline, you got that too!! She would help patch you up(like trying to hold my two front teeth in place after the runner sled knocked them out when we were playing firemen). Or let you try and explain why her son had three holes in his head when he said he fell on a nail at Harry Donlon’s barn and it really was a pitch fork that did it(THAT WAS JOE’S FAULT). This wonderful woman was a big part of my childhood and I am a better person for it. Thank you Mrs. Hanrahan. Rest in peace and God Bless.
Love, Jim
