WAYNE – Erwin C. Robinson, lovingly known as Erski, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2026, at Arnot Ogden Medical Center, Elmira, New York.

Born in Bath, New York, to the late Viola Elizabeth (Walruth) and Claude Abraham Robinson, he was a lifelong resident of Wayne, New York.

Erwin was a student at Hammondsport Central School, class of 1972, and started working at the former Taylor Winery the same year.

He married his lifetime partner, Suzanne Messick Robinson, at his parents’ home in Wayne in 1975.

Erwin was a member of the Hammondsport Moose Lodge and a former member of the Urbana Grange.

He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and farmer, owning 90 acres for many years. He loved animals, and anyone who knew him would say the animals loved him just as much in return.

He is lovingly survived by his wife, Suzanne Messick Robinson, sons Kevin (Julie) of Savona, New York, and Douglas “Fluffy” (Paula) Robinson of Hammondsport, granddaughter Morgan Robinson (Brian Teeter) of Addison, granddaughter Logan (Zakia) Eddy of Campbell, great-grandsons Colton and Clayton Teeter, baby Eddy on the way, step-grandson Mike Johnson (Nicole Socola), step-great-grandson Dustin (Megan) Johnson and their children Jaxon, Rylan, Millie and Logan

He is predeceased by his above-mentioned parents and his special uncle, Benjamin Walruth.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Erwin’s life on September 12th, 2026, from 1-4 PM at the Hammondsport Fire Department.

A private inurnment will be held at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Hammondsport, New York.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Bishop & DeSanto Funeral Home, Po Box 277, Hammondsport, New York 14840, to assist with the expenses of the funeral.
