Donna Marie Brokaw-Haraty
ARKPORT– Donna Marie Brokaw-Haraty, 54, of Arkport, NY passed away on Saturday (May 24, 2025) after a 5-year battle with Ovarian Cancer.
Born September 12, 1970 in Hornell, she was the Finance Director for the Southern Tier portion of the Rochester Catholic Diocese.
She leaves behind her mother, Crystal Brokaw; siblings Doug (Deb), Dan (Julie), and Darlene (Rick); her husband, Todd; children, Bryant Gerber (fiancée, Tasha Becker), the twins, Naomi Haraty and Nicholas Haraty; as well as one precious grandson, Beck. She was predeceased by father, Burton Brokaw and brother, Dean Brokaw. Donna also leaves behind several close friends that truly helped the family through the last several weeks.
For those that worked with her, she was serious and on point but fair. For many others she was the life of the party. For her family she was kind and caring and instilled old-fashioned values in her children. Her mother Crystal just lost her best friend. We should all remember her battle with this thought “Just because someone carries it well doesn’t mean it’s not heavy.”
Calling hours are 5-7 P.M. THURSDAY (JUNE 12, 2025) at the Bishop-Johnson & DeSanto Funeral Home, 285 Main St., Hornell. Relatives and friends are invited to join her family at St. Ann’s Church, 35 Erie Ave., Hornell where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 A.M. FRIDAY (JUNE 13, 2025). Private interment will be held at the convenience of her family at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Town of Fremont.
