CHRISTOPHER “KELLEY” BROWN

DIGMANS FERRY, PA – Christopher “Kelley” Brown, 40, entered into rest unexpectedly Wednesday evening (February 1, 2017) at the home of his parents at 112 Pocono Circle Drive, Dingmans Ferry, PA. He was born in Dover, NJ on April 6, 1976.
A graduate of Sacred Heart School in Dover, N.J. and Delaware Valley High School, Milford, Pa., class of 1994, Kelley was a self-employed carpenter and painter and has worked for 22 years in the trades in the Pocono Mountains.
He was a communicant and member of St. Vincent DePaul Roman Catholic Parish in Milford, Pa.
Kelley enjoyed swimming, fishing, golf, and lively family outings and vacations, and his dogs especially, Buddy Kuon Zodiac, a Bull Terrier and Jasmine Purple Eater, a Rottweiler.
His loving family includes his parents, E. Frank and Barbara A Brown, of Dingmans Ferry, Pa. (formerly of Hornell) and three siblings, Marcelle (Jose) Torres of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Edward (Stacy) Brown Jr., of Succasunna, N.J., and Michael (Dawn) Brown, of Sparta, N.J.; his loving daughter, Zoe Olm, of Morristown N.J.; and her mom, Holly Olm, of Morristown N.J.; his nieces, Ashley and Angelina Torres of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Molly Brown of Budd Lake, N.J.; his nephew, Ryan Brown of Succasunna, N.J.; his aunts, Bonnie Murray and Carolyn Tibbott both of Hornell, his uncles, Roland (Sandy) Brown of Bath, Thomas (Barbara J.) Brown and James (Sandra) Brown, all of Hornell; and over three generations of nearly 100 cousins; as well as his girl friend and faithful companion, Dawn Schmidt.
The Bishop & Johnson Funeral Home, Inc. in Hornell is honored to serve the family of Christopher “Kelley” Brown.
Calling hours for a Life Celebration are from 5-7 p.m. Friday at the Bishop & Johnson Funeral Home, Inc., 285 Main St., Hornell. Friends are invited to meet his family at St. Ann’s Church in Hornell, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday. Family committal prayers and interment will follow at St. Ann’s Cemetery in Hornell.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing may contribute in his memory to Catholic Social Services For Pike County Pa., 542 Route and 209, Milford Twp, Pa. 18337. Envelopes for memorial contributions will be available at the funeral home.

  2. Aunt Barb, Uncle Frank, Michael, Marcy, Eddy and family; We were deeply saddened to hear of Kelly’s passing. He will always be remembered for having an infectious smile and quick wit. He may be gone but not forgotten as he will be missed by his family. 💔
