  1. I only met Cheryl about a year ago.Went to her house to do her hair. She was a very lovely person. Even with her being in a wheel chair she accomplished many things. She will be missed

  2. Cheryl and I went all through grade school and high school together, spent many hours together. Sending love to her family and even though I hadn’t seen her in a long time, I have the happiest of memories.

  3. To Miss Hammond’s loving family:
I was lucky enough to have Cheryl my first year @ LSHS. She has remained in my thoughts over the years. She was a wonderful person, teacher, & friend. God bless her and her loved ones.

  4. I taught with Cheryl at Lockport Senior High School. She was a hard worker but also a fun & caring person! After she lost most of her vision, she bravely continued teaching & never complained. I will always remember her kindness & gentle gentle laugh.

  5. Miss Hammond was one of my teachers at Lockport High School, and directed me in a student play. She was a lovely person, whom I think of often, and she was very kind to me at a time when I needed it. I am very sorry to hear of her passing, and I wish to send my deepest sympathy.

  6. To the Family of Cheryl B. Hammond
We wanted to share this with Cheryl’s Family.
In 1957, I met and married Dudley C. Smith of Lockport.
His mother passed away in 1953 and his
father married Jessamine (Christy, Denley) in 1856. The had one daughter, Ruth, who married W. Orr and they had one daughter, Beverly.
When I was a junior in high school, I was standing in line with Bev and she
said “My grandmohter is getting married again”.
    After meeting Dudley’s family, Bev’s
grandmother became the sweetest mother-in-law and a grandmother to our three children.
Our daughter, Kimberly, had Cheryl as a teacher and shared the family story
    with her at that time.
Grandma “Jesse passed away in January of 1989 and is buried with her sister
    Natalie.
We will keep your family in our prayers.

  7. Cheryl was instrumental in helping me as a PA announcer, and as a colleague at Lockport High School. Please accept my deepest sympathies.
