CATHERINE ELLEN “CAT†THOMAS
ROCHESTER/AVOCA-Catherine Ellen “Cat†Thomas, 49, of Rochester, formerly of Avoca, died Friday (June 9, 2017) in Rocheter.
Born at Ira Davenport Memorial Hospital in Bath on Nov. 22, 1967, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Lillie Mae Thomas. Besides her parents, she was also predeceased by her brother and a niece, Lonnie Jackson.
She graduated from high school in Corning and attended Pace University in New York City.
Cat was a published author who enjoyed writing as well as cooking and gardening.
Her loving family includes her four sisters, Priscilla, Iretta, Deborah and Wannetta; her three brothers, Henry, Michael and Charles and many nieces and nephews.
The Avoca Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Catherine Ellen “Cat†Thomas.
Calling hours are 2-4 p.m. Wednesday at the Avoca Funeral Home, 22 N. Main St., Avoca, followed by a family gathering at the home of her brother, Michael, 6 Morgan St. in Avoca.
I have so many fond,fun,and happy memories of Cathy when we were kids growing up.She was taken way to soon. God has another angel to love. Sending my love and prayers to all of her family during this difficult time.
