Betty A. Jones
AVOCA – Betty A. Jones, 84, formerly of State Route 415, passed away Sunday evening (May 10, 2026) at the Taylor Health Center in Bath, NY.
Born in Dansville, NY on March 23, 1942 she was a daughter of the late Lowell and Evelyn (Hamsher) Learn. Besides her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband, Hugh E. Jones Sr.; two sisters, Barbara Cooper, Bonnie Powell and brother, William L. Learn, Jr.
Betty enjoyed cooking, reading and doing various jumbo crossword puzzles.
She is lovingly survived by one son, Jeffrey A. (Denice) Jones and one stepson, Hugh E. Jones, Jr.
There will be no calling hours or funeral service. Family and friends will be invited to a “farewell” at a place, date and time to be announced.

Betty and my mother were cousins. I remember Betty staying with us when my mother was in the hospital having my sister Betty Sue, who was named for Betty. She was a fun person! I am sure she will be missed.
