BARBARA M. KIBBE
WAYNE – Barbara M. Kibbe, 94, of Ridge Road passed away peacefully Friday (Jan. 27, 2023), with family by her side, at Fred & Harriet Taylor Health Center.
Born in Lock Haven, PA on August 23, 1923, to the late Roy Raymond and Julia (Heimer) Moore. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband George W. Kibbe and brother Robert Moore.
Barb and George raised their family in the Hammondsport area for many years. She worked for Gold Seal Winery, Peterson’s Drug, and RC Billings. Ultimately, she and George retired in sunny Florida. After the loss of her husband, she returned to the area to be closer to her children.
She is loving survived by her sons, Jan (Barb) Fitzpatrick, Guy (Betty) Fitzpatrick; stepsons Bud (Lucy) Kibbe and Kevin (Kelly) Kibbe; grandchildren Beth (Ben) Fitzpatrick Muckenhoupt, Ed Fitzpatrick, and Carly (Chris) McConnell; great-grandchildren Cameron McConnel, Jacob Fitzpatrick, Kyle Fitzpatrick, and Preston McConnell; step-great grandson Philip Kibbe; step-great-great grandchild Daton Kibbe.
A graveside service and interment, at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, will be held on Saturday June 3, 2023 at 1PM for both Barb and George, with a celebration at the Hammondsport Fire Department immediately following.
