Anne M. Watt
HORNELL-Anne M. Watt, 79, of Canisteo Street, passed away peacefully Thursday morning (Oct. 18, 2018) at St. James Hospital in Hornell.
Born in Hornell on Aug. 9 1939, she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Teresina (Vincenzi) Lisi. Besides her parents, she was also predeceased by her grandson, Tyler Davis; her brothers, Jack (Angie) Lisi, Dominic (Sophie) Lisi, John (Lois) Lisi, Anthony (Vera) Lisi and an infant brother, Sebastian Lisi; her sisters, Mary (Tony) Secondo, Rose (John) Provo and an infant sister, Giovanina Lisi; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Hugh and Lorena Watt; her brothers-in-law, Hugh (Eleanor) Watt, Joseph Watt and her sister-in-law, Mary (Sal) Falzoi.
A lifelong resident of Hornell, Anne was a graduate of St. Ann’s School and Hornell High School, class of 1958.
Throughout the years she was employed at the Hornell Erie Federal Credit Union, the Hornell Area Family YMCA and for the Hornell City School District. However, her life’s work was being a devoted wife, mother and grandmother; she lived for faith, family and friends.
Anne was a member of Our Lady of the Valley Parish and was a communicant of St. Ann’s Church and the former St. Ignatius Loyola Church in Hornell. She was also a member of the Ladies of Columbus, the G. Carducci Lodge Sons of Italy and the “Birthday Club.â€
An avid reader, she was also an excellent cook and baker and especially enjoyed traveling and spending the winter months in Florida.
Her loving family includes her husband of 58 years, John R. Watt, who she married at St. Ann’s Church in Hornell on May 28, 1960; her three children, David (Nancy) Watt of North Hornell, Michael (Melissa) Watt of Mooresville, N.C. and Lynn Watt of Rochester; her four grandchildren, Dr. Michael Watt, Theresa Watt, Hannah Watt and Allison Watt; her brother, Angelo Lisi of Sebring, Fla.; her sister, Joanne (Stephen) Hoffman of Bunnell, Fla.; also, her many nieces, nephews and cousins.
The Bishop & Johnson Funeral Home, Inc. in Hornell is honored to serve the family of Anne M. Watt.
Calling hours are 1-4 p.m. Sunday (Oct. 21, 2018) at the Bishop & Johnson Funeral Home, Inc., 285 Main St., Hornell, where the Ladies of Columbus will conduct a Memorial Service at 3:45 p.m. Sunday. Relatives and friends are invited to join her family at St. Ann’s Church in Hornell where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday (Oct. 22, 2018). Committal prayers and interment will follow at St. Ann’s Cemetery, Hornell.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing may contribute in her memory to the Jack Lisi Youth Award, P.O. Box 321, Bath, N.Y. 14810 (envelopes will be available at the funeral home) or to a charity of the donor’s choice.

I am sad for the Watt family at this time. Anne worked was the lunch supervisor in my school and was well loved by the kids, and faculty. I mourn John and the family’s loss at this time. John has been a friend of my brother for years and I am sad for him
I’ve know Anne all my life. She was a special lady whose laughter was contagious and she was always smiling. Anne was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. My deepest condolences to the Watt and Lisi families. Sending love, hugs & prayers for all of you. God be with you.

Anne was a beloved friend since 1950. A bridesmaid in my wedding and a godmother to my child. The many memories I have of Anne will forever be with me.
She is at peace now and having one grand reunion with her family and relatives.
