HORNELL-Alice M. Drumm, 80, of 6448 County Route 68, Crosby Creek Road, entered into rest, surrounded by her loving family, early Friday morning (April 15, 2011) at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.
Born in Hornellsville on Nov. 17, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth and Frances Watkins Jackson. She was married to Robert L. “Drummie” Drumm for 36 years before he predeceased her on July 25, 1985. Besides her parents and husband, she was also predeceased by her granddaughter and six brothers and sisters.
A lifelong resident of Hornell, Alice was employed at Westinghouse in Bath and retired from Alfred State College.
She loved her children and grandchildren, especially her three great-grandchildren and enjoyed having her family for dinner at her home on Sundays and holidays. Some of her other favorite past times included bird watching, playing bingo and cards.
Her family includes her four children, Richard (Marcia) Drumm of Fabius, Steven (Vicki) Drumm of Hornell; Thomas Drumm at home and Deborah (Bruce) Jackson of Dansville; also her seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are from 1-3 p.m. Monday at the Bishop & Johnson Funeral Home, Inc., 285 Main St., Hornell. A private graveside services will be held at the convenience of her family at Rural Cemetery, Hornell.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing may contribute in her memory to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Golisano Children’s Hospital, 601 Elmwood Ave., Rochester, N.Y. 14642. Envelopes for memorial contributions will be available at the funeral home.

I have known Alice for quite sometime now.I met her through my parents John and Kay Griffith.I would always run into her @ the p&c store we would chat for awhile she was a very sweet person and special to me i will miss her sweet smile i will her dearly.
I am sorry I can’t be there. Aunt Alice was a lot of fun. Use to love to stop and chat with her when I was in town. She also was such a great cook. She will be missed by me a lot. Love you all Lori

We apologize for not being able to be with you at this time, as we live so far away (Las Vegas, NV) but know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. We always enjoyed the times we spent with Aunt Alice and will surely miss her. She is once again with your Dad, the love of her life.

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your mother. Alice was a dear friend of my Aunt Irene Kull and I loved seeing her during my visits to Hornell. She is in my thoughts and prayers.

I will always have wonderful memories as a child but also an adult. You are with Uncle Bob (Husband) who you mourned for so many years. I still miss him and his teasing me. You will be so missed by your Children/Grand Children, family and friends. I am relieved for you and your family watching you going through such a horrible ordeal. Mom its been 2 months and i still think im in a nightmare.i miss you so much!! i wake up in the middle of the night and i start to cry. i know your not in pain, but it still doesnt releif what you left behind, you will always be my best friend! i feel you near me always,i know dad was waitting for you with open arms he missed you so much,i will always have you so close i have to YOUR MY MOM..and some how ,some way you will let me know your with us.. love you mom..your only daughter
