So sorry for your loss!
Bill and Lil were wonderful people. Very close to my Grandparents Rod & Esther Thompson. During the flood my brother Rodney and I lived with them with my grandparents. Later we moved 2 doors down. I have many happy memories with them. They will be missed by our community. Rest in Peace. Your work here is done.
Rick and I send our condolences to you in the loss of two favorite Avoca people. We pray their celestial transfers were joyous for them. Bill’s sister Nancy is the widow of Rick’s first cousin once removed. Lil was our Post Master for several years. I remember her telling the story of a bus load of Japanese tourists stopping at the convenience store near their house. The trees and landscaping were all in Bloom. Lil looked outside to find several Japanese taking photos. It was startling to her but Bill told her it was temporary and not to get upset. That was a very interesting conversation. God bless your parents.
So sorry to hear this. Bill mentored me for many years at Mercury Aircraft. Taught me that the attributes needed were trusting God, honesty and a thick skin, in that order. He lived by all three of these, and I will ever appreciate his influence in my life.
A kind, devoted gentlemanl He will be sorry missed.
My condolences to the family and friends.
