Virginia O. “Ginnie” Towner
AVOCA-Virginia O. “Ginnie” Towner, 73, of State Route 415, passed away Saturday (Nov. 6, 2021) at St. James Hospital in Hornell.
Born in Bath on Feb. 21, 1948 she was a daughter of the late Rodney and Wilma (Wheaton) Towner. Besides her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband, Andrew Danielson, Jr. in 2004 and one brother, Jerry Towner.
She is survived by her two children, Tracey Danielson of Avoca and Dennis Danielson of Avoca; two brothers, Bernard (Janet) Towner of Avoca and Eldon Towner; sister, Patricia (Gordon) Havens of Avoca; grandchildren, Kortnee Danielson, Maria Myers, Alexis Myers and Daytona Smith; one great-granddaughter, Amelia Corbett; several nieces and nephews. She also had several adopted kids and grandkids at Bud Valley Campground.
Virginia was a member of the Wallace Volunteer Fire Dept. for 47 years. She loved spending time with her family and making fleece blankets, reading books and was known for her coconut cakes. Most of all she enjoyed her family reunion every year and sitting on the deck at the Bud Valley Campground with all of her adopted kids.
At her request there will be no calling hours or funeral services. Interment will be with her husband at Valley View Cemetery in Avoca at the convenience of the family.
