HORNELL – Sandra J. Nolan peacefully, yet unexpectedly, passed away in her home in Hornell, NY on Thursday, November 28, 2024, at the age of 73.
Sandra was predeceased by her loving husband, John F Nolan; parents, Earl W. Coons and Mary Francis Gross; and her brothers, Thomas Coons and John Coons. She is survived by her three loving children; Ralph (Kristelle) Sage Jr, Thom (Cindy) Sage, and Karen (Don) Fandl; her grandchildren; Aven Sage, Kerstyn Sage, Kara Sage, Kendra Sage, Skye Sage, Ryan Sage, Alyson Prividera, and Justin Fandl; her siblings; Earl A (Katherine) Coons, Joyce Bendon, Martin Coons, Nancy Coons-Taylor; and several beloved nieces, nephews and dear friend, Suzi King.
Sandra was a kind-hearted, generous, and caring woman who was a friend to all. She would gladly give you her last dollar if you were in need. Sandra was an avid baker who made the best pies and desserts for all to enjoy. She loved cooking big holiday meals for her family and friends and found great joy in decorating for Christmas. No Christmas was complete without 3-D glasses for all her children and grandchildren to fully enjoy the magic of her tree. Above all, Sandra cherished spending quality time with her family and friends, and time at home with her beloved dog, China.
The family will greet relatives and friends from 11 a.m. to 12 noon on Monday (Dec. 9, 2024) at Grace Episcopal Church, 34 Third St., Waterford, where a service will take place at 12 noon Monday. Interment will follow at 2 p.m. at Memory Gardens.
