Helen M. Willett

CANASERAGA – Helen M. Willett, 67, passed away, after a long illness, on Monday morning (Aug. 12, 2024) at her home on Main Street, with her family at her side, surrounded by their love.

Affectionately known as “Fuzz” or “Huggie”, she was born in Hornell on June 24, 1957 a daughter of the late Kenneth and Ruth (Spike) Willett.

A lifelong resident of Canaseraga, Helen was a graduate of Canaseraga Central School and was employed for 31 years at Forbes Custom Products in Dansville, retiring in 2023.

She absolutely loved spending time with her family, especially in the summer around a fire. Helen enjoyed playing horseshoes and when she was younger, she liked to play softball.

She is lovingly survived by two sisters, Patricia Perry of Florida and Jodi (James) Satterfield of Canaseraga; four brothers, Kenneth Willett of Canaseraga, Raymond Willett of Georgia, Robert Spike and Leon Willett of Florida; one uncle, Daniel Spike of Rochester, NY; her niece, Jessica Satterfield and nephew, Justin Satterfield both of Canaseraga; as well as her beloved dog, Cinnamon.

Calling hours are 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. SATURDAY (Aug. 17, 2024) at the Bishop-Johnson & DeSanto Funeral Home, 285 Main St., Hornell where a funeral and committal service will take place following calling hours at 1 p.m. Saturday. Interment will be in the Canaseraga Cemetery.
