Douglas E. Robords
ARKPORT – Douglas E. Robords formerly of Arkport, NY passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday (Dec. 6, 2023) due to complications from chronic illness.
Doug was born May 8, 1966 to James and Blanche Robords of Arkport, NY. He graduated in 1984 from Arkport Central School and RIT majoring in culinary arts. He retired after 32 years from the USDA, holding several supervisory positions in various states in the Northeast.
Doug was predeceased by his mother, Blanche, and sister, Karen Kelly. He is survived by his father, James (Pat) Robords; sisters, Dianne (Bob) Jones, Ginny (Dale) Mecomber; brothers, Bill Robords, Brian (Pat) Robords; as well as several nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his partner, Kevin DeAlba and several dear friends, especially Dottie Boyle Graham.
Interment will be at Heritage Hill Cemetery in Arkport with a memorial service to be held in the Spring.
Doug loved cats and participated in fostering and rehoming of many kittens and cats. Donations in his memory may be made to an animal rescue organization of your choice.
