Arlene “The Avon Lady” Presler
MILTON, FL/AVOCA – Arlene Presler, 88 of Milton, FL, formerly of Avoca, NY, passed away Thursday (Nov. 11, 2021), following a sudden, short illness.
Arlene was born Oct. 13, 1933 in Wheeler, NY to Donald C and Bertha (Schonher) Fox. She was married to Wilford Presler on Nov. 21, 1954 at the Avoca Methodist Church.
Arlene is best known by many in the area as “The Avon Lady” as she sold Avon for 35 years in Avoca and surrounding communities. She retired but continued residing in Avoca until March of 2021 when an injury brought her to Florida where she resided with her youngest daughter and granddaughter.
Arlene is survived by her daughters, Ginger Yazak of Arizona, Susan Presler and Sally Flowers of Milton, FL; grandchildren, Dean Yazak II of Arizona, Amber Shehane, Justin Joslyn and Heather Sasser of Milton FL; and great grandson, Dalton Shehane of Milton FL; brothers, Howard Fox of Florida and James (Vicky) Fox of Oregon; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Arlene is preceded in death by her parents and husband, her brothers, Donald and Robert Fox; and her sisters, Lorna and Joyce Fox.
A private burial will be with her husband in the Veterans section of the Prattsburgh Rural Cemetery, Prattsburgh, NY.
A celebration of life is being planned for her birthday in 2022.

Arlene had a heart of gold. If you thought you were going to be doing something nice for her, she would turn it around to be doing something nicer for you! She did not complain about a thing or a soul. And she was quite knowledgeable about many topics most weren’t. I hope to see her again one day.
