ANITA L. RICE
BATH – Anita L. Rice, 78, went to be with the Lord Wednesday morning (June 22, 2022), in the presence of her loving family, at her home on Murlatt Road in the Town of Wheeler.
Born in Wellsville on February 26, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Ellory and Diana (Carpenter) Ordway.
On July 13, 1963 she married the love of her life, Ronald Rice.
Her hobbies included playing the piano, something she started as a young girl, until her sickness stopped her. She had a fondness and love for her cats and all wildlife, including feeding wild ducks.
She is survived by her husband Ronald; children Curtis (Marcia) Rice, Diana (Mark) Rice, Renee (Dan) Rice; Grandchildren Curtis Rice, Jr., Ryan (Sharalyn) Rice, Wesley (Jami) Rice, Samantha Rice; Aaron (Shyntia) Kloss, David (Megha) Spires Jr., Tasha Speer, Jerica Speer, Maurin (Paul) Goodwin, Alexanda (Keith) Reed; and 10 Great-Grandchildren.
She is predeceased by her parents Ellory and Diana Ordway.
A celebration of life service will take place Saturday, July 23, 2022 at the Hammondsport American Legion, 8425 NY-54, Hammondsport, NY 14840, at 1:00 PM.
