  20. Thinking of all of Pam’s family and friends, especially my old friends Jeff and Patrick. Even though we haven’t seen each other much over the years, this affected me deeply. Many fond memories of spending time with the Wilkens! Great people! Sad times!! RIP Pam.

  21. Pam was such a warm and wonderful soul and will be sorely missed by so many of her family and friends. My fondest memory of Pam was when we were both on the Homecoming Queen court and decided to shop for our gowns together at the Cameo Shop. Even though neither of us took home the crown, we met later that evening after the game, and she said to me, “Sarah, getting to know you better was the best part of this whole experience, and being on the court was secondary!” That really touched my heart. May God be with the Schu and Wilkins families at this heartbreaking time.

  22. I haven’t seen Pam since I left work at the Bath VA. She was my best friend there…2 peas in a pod I’d say! The laughter, smiles and sometimes tears we shared will forever be remembered dearly. Pam was one of a kind…generous, loving, incredibly smart and strong! My condolences to Brian, Sadie and Ian. May peace be with you during this difficult time and always. -Greta

  26. It was my good fortune to work with Pam for four years at Alfred University and she made every day a joy. My favorite memory is of her talking the Dalai Lama’s security team into letting her bring her knitting needles into the auditorium so she could keep knitting her purple sweater while His Holiness spoke. She was (and will always be) one of a kind. I love you, Pammie.

  27. I will always cherish my memories of Pam; she was so much fun to be around.

  30. Dear, dear Pam! What a blessing it was to have you in our home just 2 years ago. You asked for a photo of The Castle so you could paint it. What a precious gift to our family. We met at the Almond Dam last summer and you gave me the framed original and copies to share with the rest of our family.
How true it is, that you lit up a room when you entered, and oh your infectious laughter.
I wish I had known these past months how ill you were. Love you Pam!

  31. Dear Brian, my sincere condolences to you and your family. I knew Pam when we were in school. She had beautiful eyes and an addicting smile. She was always polite and personable. May you find courage and peace in your travels without your best friend beside you. She is in your heart and spirit now and always. Be strong better days will come with fond memories.

  32. Although I have not seen Pam in recent years, I remember her as a remarkable nursing student at Alfred University. Our paths crossed over the years through Planned Parenthood and the Bethesda Foundation. Pam always expected and achieved perfection in everything she did. My heart goes out to her family who will miss her, and I send condolences to all her dear ones.

  33. More than just bright, Pam’s light was an uplifting rainbow on an otherwise dreary day. She touched our hearts at VAMC. God’s speed Hippy Dippy. 💔
