My heart goes out to the family for their loss. Growing up I spent time at my Grandma’s (Dorotha Alderman) on the corner of Niver Rd and Neil’s Creek. Nita carried herself with such grace and elegance in everything she was doing. As a child, I thought she was a princess. 😊 Always beautiful, kind, and encouraging to me. Truly a great legacy and loss.
A wonderful lady that I had the pleasure of working for and also was a neighbor when I lived on the farm on Akins Rd. So sorry for your loss
The Akins Family
Don and Nita were a constant presence in my childhood. As the only neighbor they had for miles I am certain we were the only trick or treaters they got but she was always ready with candy and a smile. Hiring me to do small jobs I am not so sure they needed done and allowing me to wander and hunt on their land whenever. I am sorry for the loss and wish I could be present to give my condolences in person.
Thinking of you all…
