Iona Viola (Johns) Drake
BATH-Iona Viola (Johns) Drake, age 81, of Bath NY passed away peacefully at Ira Davenport Hospital on Tuesday (December 7, 2021.)
She started working at Westinghouse in Bath when she was 16 years old and was employed there when Philips Lighting purchased them and eventually retired from there.
She loved to scrapbook and travel to visit family. She collected Fenton glass and cardinals and loved Thomas Kinkade. Iona was a Girl Scout for many years as an adult and was a great Girl Scout leader.
Iona was predeceased by both parents, her husband, Henry R. Drake Sr., and her son, Michael L. Drake, as well as brothers and sisters in law. Iona is survived by Gary and Debra Drake, Henry Drake and Karen Henry, Michelle and Wayne Vangorder and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews alike.
There will be no calling hours or service. The Family will be having a small celebration of life at a later date.
