Remembering the Sunday afternoons that we visited Aunts, Uncles and Cousins many moons ago. Usually a long ride and we never went the same route to get there. Family days have certainly changed. I’m very thankful for telephones and computers to keep in touch. We’re sorry for Marilyn’s passing but thankful that family was there with her. Rest in Peace Marilyn.
Your mother was a very special person, she and Carl were my youth directors. They were influential in my Christian upbringing in teaching and good ol fashion fun, we had cookouts, swimming and hiking parties with Jesus at the center of everything. Marilyn was the sweetest person always ready to help and answer any questions I had and boy could she make the best pie. I lost my mom at the age of 13 and she was there to help me through it. I just can’t express what a beautiful person she was. I used to babysit you boys when your parents needed a night out got 25 cents an hour I would usually get about a 1.25, but you boys were no problem and went right to bed when ask. Your parents were beautiful people and raised you to believe Jesus was the way to go in life. There are many people who shaped my life and they were two of the best. I am sorry I won’t be able to attend the funeral, I will be in South Carolina, my condolences to you and your family’s a beautiful mother, grandmother and great grandmother and friend.
