One of my favorite memories of my Uncle Nelson (besides his wit and perfect comment for everything) was when I told him I was going into the Air Force.. He shrugged his shoulders and said well it’s not the Marines but I’m happy for you Melinda and make us proud girlie, I know you will.. Love you Uncle Nelson. God Bless You
As a boy I would show up at the house for some reason or another, usually a ballgame of some sort in the back yard. Glennis would always greet me with a hello, do you want a drink or something to eat. Nelson always had a smart comment that made me laugh: “Are you lost?” “Must be you’re hungry.” “Weren’t you just here yesterday.” He was a funny man. I miss those days on Alexander Street. RIP Nelson.
