Julianne Sue “Jewlz” Ethridge
CANEADEA-Julianne Sue “Jewlz” Ethridge, 62, passed away suddenly Saturday (Oct. 13, 2018) at her home on Oramel Hill Road.

Born in Port Allegany, N.Y. on Sept. 14, 1956, she was a daughter of the late David and Myrtle (Sted) Ethridge. Besides her parents, she was also predeceased by her sister, Jean Stud.

Self employed as a hairdresser, Jewlz dedicated her life to taking care of her family and being a loving and devoted mother and grandmother.

She enjoyed doing crafts, spending time outdoors and especially liked to spend time kayaking, swimming and 4-wheeling.

Her loving family includes her daughter, Jessica Ethridge of Troupsburg; her three grandchildren, Kristen, Kaitlyn and Karley Prutsman; her two sisters, Cheryl Ethridge and Lini Ethridge; her brother, Dan Ethridge; her two nephews, James Wright (Tamara) and Daniel Ethridge (Nicole); also, her great nieces and nephews, Nyssa, Gabe, Lia, Oliver, Zach, Alexis and Chelsey.

The Bishop & Johnson Funeral Home, Inc., 285 Main St., Hornell is honored to serve the family of Julianne Sue “Jewlz” Ethridge.

There will be no calling hours or funeral service. A celebration of her life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Sunday (Oct. 21, 2018) at the Caneadea Hills Community Church, 6260 Shongo Valley Road, Fillmore.

  1. Juli had a wonderful way of encouraging other people with her poetry and songs. I would love coming home to a message on my answering machine, and Juli’s voice reading a poem, or sharing a song that was most meaningful to me. She didn’t have an easy life, but she knew to turn to the Lord for her strength, and He gave her the grace to carry on. She always signed her poetry JC through JE because she wanted to give Jesus Christ the credit for her inspiration. I will miss her, visiting over coffee, and hearing her greatest woes, and triumphs. You are truly singing in the heavenly choir now, Juli!
