M. Jane Slocum
AVOCA-M. Jane Slocum, 72, of N. Main Street, passed away Friday (Aug. 10, 2018) at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.
Born in Warsaw, N.Y. on Mar. 21, 1946, she was a daughter of the late Harlon and Carol (Houghton) Slocum. Besides her parents, she was also predeceased by her son, Robert “Bobby” Judkins on Jan. 16, 2015.
A graduate of Perry Central School, Jane owned and operated the former Country Goose Restaurant in Avoca.
She especially enjoyed feeding people, crafts, flowers, quilting and making jewelry.
Her loving family includes her partner, Keith Chase; her children, Kimberly Lamphier, Melissa (David) Pietrucha and Sarah (Renee) Judkins, Keith (Linda) Chase, Jr. and Kevin Chase; grandchildren, Christopher, Amanda, Gabrielle, Aaron, Natasha, Jessica, Bobby, Jr., Jazmyn, Caitlyn, Krystopher, Donovan; her great-grandchildren, Aiden, Kaylynne, Killian, Jayden, Jaylynne and Bentliegh; her three sisters, Lois Spollio, Luci (Mark) Poydock and Diane (Doug) Moses; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours are 4-6 p.m. Tuesday (Aug. 14, 2018) at the Avoca Funeral Home, 22 N. Main St., Avoca, where a funeral service will be held in her memory following the calling hours at 6 p.m. Tuesday, with Pastor Barre Butts officiating.
Diane and Luci, I was so sorry to hear about Jane. I know what a difficult time this is for you all. Please know that you have many friends who are thinking about you and praying for you and your entire family.
Jane will always be remembered as a very friendly, smiling Perry Central Schools classmate who had compassion for others. My sincere condolences to her family.
