Beverly Ann Burdin

AVOCA – Beverly Ann Burdin of Burdin Hill Road in Avoca, died peacefully on Saturday (Feb. 10, 2018), ready to meet her predeceased husband, Roger E. Burdin. “Annie” was born on November 16, 1936 to Charles and Laura Crocker in Bath, who are also predeceased.
Surviving are her children, son, Darryl Burdin and daughter Rhonda Burdin Bulkley, both residing on the family farmstead. Also surviving are her beloved grandchildren, Brett Bulkley, Brandon Bulkley, Andrew (Tatia) Burdin, Reaghan Bulkley, Aaron Burdin and Brittany (Cody) Henry. She is also leaving behind five much-adored great-grandchildren, Anthony Burdin, Colton Burdin, Carter Henry, Lilah Burdin, Easton Henry and Baby Burdin, due in July 2018.
Annie was one of five siblings born to Charlie and Laura. Surviving siblings are, Delbert (Jeanetta) Crocker, Charles (Mary) Crocker, Norine (Gerald) Slayton, and Linda (Gunter) Weichenthal.
Also surviving are many nieces and nephews, some of which were as close to her as her children.
Annie grew up in Bath, and worked at many local businesses including Lilequist Photography and Newberry Department Store as a young woman.
She and Roger were married on Sept. 28, 1958 and at that time she became a farm wife, then mother, working at a variety of part-time jobs over the years. Annie was especially renowned for her wonderful cooking skills. Annie and Roger were members of Howard Union Church, and active in the adult Sunday School Cheerio Class.
Annie’s family will be left with many fond memories, and will enjoy sharing them over and over again in “Annie’s Gazebo” at the family farm pond.
The Avoca Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Beverly Ann Burdin.
Calling hours are 12-2 p.m. and 4-7 p.m. Thursday (Feb. 15, 2018) at the Avoca Funeral Home, 22 N. Main St. in Avoca. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday (Feb. 16, 2018) at the Howard Union Church. She will be laid to rest on the family farm.

  1. Rhonda And Darryl, very sorry to hear about mom’s passing. Please know that you both are in my thoughts and prayers. I’ll always remember her as very welcoming to my family whenever I and my family came up to the farm.
