CAROLE L. PAWLICA
HORNELL-Carole L. Pawlica, 73, of Steuben St., passed away Friday afternoon (March 24, 2017) at Highland Hospital in Rochester.
Born in Pittsburgh, Pa. on Oct. 16, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Helen (Pritchard) Habern. Besides her parents, she was also predeceased by her son, John Pawlica III.
A former resident of Thacherville, Carole was a graduate of Alfred-Almond Central School and has resided in Hornell for most of her life.
She was employed at the former Marion Rohr Co. in Hornell and enjoyed spending time crocheting.
Her loving family includes her daughter-in-law, Donna Pawlica Linker of Arkansas; her three grandchildren, Cristina (Jordan) Eason of Colorado, Kaitlin Pawlica and Nicholas Pawlica both Las Vegas, Nev.; her two brothers, Dennis (Renate) Habern of Germany and James (Marilyn) Habern of Lakeland, Fla.; also several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The Bishop & Johnson Funeral Home, Inc., 285 Main St. in Hornell is honored to serve the family of Carole L. Pawlica.
To honor her wishes there will be no calling hours or funeral service. Interment will be in Rural Cemetery at the convenience of her family.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing may contribute in her memory to their favorite charity.

So sorry to read of Carole’s passing. She was always a joy to see first thing in the early mornings at the YMCA…years ago when I worked there. RIP
An awesome person who wore a coat of many colors whose believes were hard to be persuaded a change. I met Carol through my grandfather and father while they worked at Stern & Stern Textile and visiting Chuck and Helen at their home. Many wonderful memories. Knowing you now in the arms of your son and parents bring smiles and much love. Through God’s love may you have everlasting peace. RIP Carol
