RODNEY WILLIAM FOX
Rodney William Fox is coming home for the last time. He left his 3 favorite sisters: Michele, Dawn and Denelle, on April Fool’s Day, as only a prankster like him would. He left this world in his sleep, in his home in Atlanta, Georgia but he still walks in our hearts. His father William Murray Fox awaits his too early crossing with open arms, but he leaves his mother Katherine Schutz Fox still in this world. Uncle Odie will be missed by Tonya, Stephanie, Joshua, Jerome, Savannah, Carmen, Amir, Breonna, Anila and Calel.
Rod will be remembered by his many friends, coworkers and family in Atlanta, Avoca and Lake Demmon. He was a forthright man who stated that you were either in the circle or on the outside, and everyone knew which they were. He loved his fast cars, Pepsi, Pudgie’s Pizza and fireworks. He had no use for any of that “green food”, especially those peas. He was a story teller, but kept to the truth, because as he said “you just can’t make this stuff up”. His cockeyed grin, flashing blue eyes will be remembered with tears and laughter by those of us who hold him in their hearts.
The Avoca Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Rodney William Fox.
Calling hours are 1-3 p.m. Saturday at the Avoca Funeral Home, 22 N. Main St., Avoca where a funeral service will be held in his memory following calling hours at 3 p.m. Saturday.

  1. I have had the pleasure of working with Rod two times. The first was with Atlanta Classic Cars, and most recently Mercedes-Benz of South Atlanta. I was shocked and saddened when I took the call here at MBSA from his sister Dawn telling us that he had passed away. We were all in a state of disbelief, he was a great person and will be missed by all who knew him. My sincere condolences to all of the Fox family. Vick Smith, Mercedes-Benz of South Atlanta

  2. I was in total shock when I read this. It breaks my heart to know this awesome man has left this world behind and has moved on to be with our heavenly father. Rod was a great person, he and I had a wonderful time during the time we shared together. I’ll never forget him, oh those eyes, those beautiful blues eyes and that mysterious laugh . He often talked about his family and how much he cared for his sisters, we had talked about visiting many times. He told me stories about how much he loved going to the lake there and seeing the 4th of July fireworks over the water with his family. He truly loved his family and his mother. I never got that chance to meet these wonderful people he often talked about.
    My regards to his family.

    I’ll never forget you Rod
