In lieu of flowers, those wishing may contribute in her memory to their favorite animal shelter.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Contact Lolly Pop Farms for more information.

I am so sad to hear of Joan’s passing. She was a wonderful, passionate woman about her volunteerism at Lollypop Farm and I admired her for all her stamina. Walking dogs in the worst weather, because she knew they needed attention. I will truly miss this strong, loving person. It was a privilege to know her.
Joan was my neighbor. I shall miss our chats, comparing notes on plants, and especially about cats. Joan was such a great help when I got Charlie, my tuxedo cat. She would come over and visit us often. We shall miss her so much. I just know she is now at peace and caring for many “heavenly creatures”. My thoughts and prayers to her family.
Dear friend, I am missing you so much already–your presence at Lollypop Farm, working with the cats with you at Rochester Animal Service, the times we’d go out to eat, the many many talks we have had. Our friendship enriched my life
for over eleven years and I will always remember you with love.
I am very saddened to hear of Joan’s passing. She was my mentor when I started volunteering a Lollipop. She gave me words of wisdom that I will always remember. Her dedication and love of animals was an inspiration to those that she touched. May she rest in peace.
Kind neighbor, wonderful cat sitter (she left entire diaries chronicling my cats’ actvities!), library colleague, fellow film lover, but most importantly Joan was a good friend. I am so fortunate to have know her.
