Beth, Karen and families – please know that my heart goes out to you all. Each of you are in my prayers during this time of loss and grief. I wish I were physically closer to help provide emotional support, but please know I am there in spirit. You have my numbers and please call me day or night, if need be. I am so glad to have spent time with you and Mary this summer. God Bless you all.
I am so greatful for my memories of Mary. Especially the time spent together in NYC hailing taxi’s in the snow with her, her mom Betty and all the “McCabe” girls on our way to The Palm for steaks and laughter we will never forget.
Karen, Shine and family
I didn’t know Mary well, I only knew her from lunch at the Angel, but I liked her. She was such a sweet person. I’m so sorry for your loss. My prayers are with you all.
To Mary’s family:
I would like to extend my deepest sympathy to the recent loss of Mary. Mary was a year ahead of me in school and I always have had fond memories of her. I just want to say I am so sorry to her family for your recent loss.
I remember playing with Mary as little girls on W. Genesee St. I am very sorry for your loss, may Mary rest in peace in the arms of the Savior.
I am so sorry to read of this tragic loss. I will not say I know what you are going through, as I don’t. Remember she is home with her Dad and Mom and is in a better place now. Time doesn’t heal, it just makes it easier. I think of your family often when I go through Hornell and see the apartments on W Genesee St. I pray for comfort your family will find in each other. God Bless You.
Beth Ann & Karen, I am so sorry for your loss. I remember Mary Margaret as a childhood friend. I have many fond memories from the old neighborhood. Gosh she and I played hop scotch, Roller skate, hula-hoop, jacks and once used a entire box of chalk drawing on the side walk on Genesee Street. We moved away after my Dad died. I was 10 then. I never got to see my old friends much after that. As we grow old I find some of my best memories are of my childhood when we lived on Amory Place. Maybe just maybe it is because the world is changing so fast and not always for the best. We tend to revisit a time when life was simple and the world was a safer place. I am grateful for the sweet memories of Mary Margaret. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
Our deepest sympathies are will all of you.
Love,
Bill and Jan Chapman
Laura, Pete and Ronnie:
We are really sorry for your loss. We really enjoyed Mary’s friendship and the good times we shared at the high school basketball games, and of course her knowledge she shared at Boland Maloney.
We will keep all of you in our prayers.
With love,
Mary Margaret,
You and your family are in the thoughts and prayers of your friends and former neighbors on West Genesee Street. Be at peace.
prayers for the family. May God comfort you during this sad time.
Karen, Beth and families, Our heartfelt condolences to you all. Our sympathy and prayers are with you during this tragic time.
Karen and Beth, I was so sorry to hear about Mary. The last time I saw the three of you together you were all smiling and laughing and having a good time shopping at the L.L.Bean store at the East View Mall. That’s how I will remember Mary. God bless your families at this time.
Mary and I grew up together. We wre both the little sisters of best freinds(Beth and Kathy Griffin). Sometimes our big sisters include us in their adventures. Mary was always full of life and so genuine. She had a twinkle in her eye and a laugh in her voice.
I am so sad to her of her death. Please know my prayers are with you. God will hold Mary in his arms.
I am so sorry for your loss. I met all of you when your mother was at McAuley. I will remember Mary for her quick smile and always having a kind word for others.

Dear Laura and Mr. Wyant,
Our deepest sympathies go out to your family for Mary. For some reason I was checking the Obits from my home town and saw this article, and of course was totally shocked. I often reflect back on my years here at Eastern and PJ and I always remember you and your playing days here. Your team(s) and teammates were easily my favorite and most special years of coaching here at Eastern. I still have the picture of you 4 seniors at Prom sitting on my desk. I know I now look back and wonder how I would have coached differently, and not been so demanding out on the playing field. But it is always easy to sit back and judge what you would have changed or done differently. But I will never forget you as a freshmen, all arms and legs and chasing after the basketball. PJ and I often laugh at how you looked out on the court, but we always appreciated how hard you played, making it so easy to be your coach. We always said you were the hardest working kid on the team, and we always loved you for that. We hope you and your family are doing as well as can be expected. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. We are doing fine in Simpsonville, I am still fishing, and PJ has 2 Great Danes to keep her occupied while I am away. If your ever in town, please call us, we would love to hear from you.
With Deepest Sympathies
Steve and PJ Ward
My deepest sympathy and prayers to all of the extended Mccabe family. My memories of Mary include her as a little girl playing, “staying for dinner” sleepovers and watching she and my younger sister Mary and Dede Argenteri Ranger plot their latest skemes…..MAY SHE REST IN PEACE
My heartfelt sympathy to all of Mary’s family. I knew her from our dental office in Louisville and she always brightened our day. We connected as WNY’ers and shared so many great conversations about our 2 children, our sisters and our Mom’s. She so loved her family and it showed. So shocked and saddened to read of her death. May you find comfort in wonderful memories of her.
Dear Beth and Karen….I will keep you in my prayers and close to my heart. I remember how tight you sisters were. Please know that Mary has a special place in my fondest memories.Sending strength your way……………………………
I am so sorry for your loss. Mary was a wonderful fun person. Everytime I saw her she was always smiling and she will be missed by everyone. You all are in my thoughts and prayers through this tragic time.
