FLOSSIE E. “FLOS” WAGNER

CANISTEO-Flossie E. “Flos” Wagner, 73, of 13 Maple St., entered into rest early Wednesday morning (Aug. 25, 2010) at McAuley Manor in North Hornell.
Born in Hornell on Feb. 5, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Lynn and Flossie Saxton McDaniels. On March 3, 1956 she was married at the Almond Union of Churches to Larry R. Wagner, who survives.
A former resident of Almond, Flos has resided in Canisteo for the past 13 years.
She was employed by the former Marion Rohr Co. in Hornell as a seamstress and was most recently employed by the Whistle Stop Laundry in Hornell as an attendant.
Flossie loved animals, especially cats. She also enjoyed family get togethers, playing bingo, going to yard sales, traveling to the casinos and watching TV game shows.
Her family includes her husband of 54 years, Larry, her five children, Colleen (Steve) Cornell of Alfred, Cynthia (James) Herbert of Hornell, Scott Wagner (Debra Jackson) of Arkport, Jennifer (Bradford) Hager of Almond and Lisa Gaskin of West Sparta; her 12 grandchildren, James Herbert III, Douglas (Miranda) Herbert, Jacob (Katie) Herbert, Andrew Cornell, Bradley Cornell, Amanda McRae, Curtis Wagner, Christopher (Meghann) Kendall, Matthew Kendall, Justin Carbone, Nickalus Carbone and Kristin Carbone; her 10 great-grandchildren, Allison, Calista, Emma, Natalie, Rachel, Gavin, Rebecca, Courtney, Nathan and Ava; her sister, Kathleen (Clayton) Tuttle of Corning; also her nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was also predeceased by her six brothers, Milo, William, Irving, Lynn, Kenneth and Asa McDaniels.
Calling hours are from 1-3 p.m. Sunday at the Bishop & Johnson Funeral Home, Inc., 285 Main St., Hornell, where a funeral and committal service will follow calling hours at 3 p.m. Sunday, with the Rev. Steven Jewell officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Almond.
Those wishing may contribute in her memory to the Hornell Area Humane Society, 7649 Industrial Parkway, Hornell, NY 14843. Envelopes for memorial contributions will be available at the funeral home.

    Aunt Flossie always lived life to its fullest.Always a very hard worker caring mother grandmother and wife.
    You will be greatly missed by all.

  3. mom…i love you and miss you …i know you visited me once to let me know you were ok and forgave me …i love you…you looked so good …i cried so hard after i seen you …i wanted more time to talk…i wanted to laugh with you one more time …im so sorry you were scared …i wish i understood…maybe i was scared …i cry thinking you were pushing away the grandkids because you knew you had to leave …how scary and sad that is …they would have loved you if they had been old enough to enjoy you as my kids did…miss you and love you happy thanksgiving and merry christas
