WARREN C. MATTOON
BATH-Warren C. Mattoon, 79 passed away early Monday morning (Dec. 7, 2009) at his home at 7 Wilson Way in Bath.
Born in Wheeler on March 17, 1930, he was the son of the late Carl and Pearl Partridge Mattoon. He was married in Savona in 1955 to the former, Anna Graham, who survives.
A resident of the Avoca and Bath area, Warren attended Avoca Central School and proudly served with the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1956.
During the 1972 flood he was employed in Elmira and also with Cash Willis Construction. In 1995 he retired as the superintendent of the Steuben County Landfill.
Warren was a member of the Cohocton American Legion Post and enjoyed restoring International Tractors.
His family includes his wife of 44 years, Anna; his nieces and nephews, Patricia (William) Hopkins, Harold “Bud” (Patti) Johnson, Donald Johnson, James (Mary Ellen) Johnson and Barbara Rice; also numerous great nieces and great nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Leah Morgan in 1972.
Private interment will be in Valley View Cemetery, Avoca.
Arrangements are with the Avoca Funeral Home, 22 N. Main St., Avoca.

SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT WARREN, HE WAS A GOOD CUSTOMER AND WILL BE MISSED BY ALL

Bill and I send our sympathy @ Warren’s death. We are still in Florida but return next week for December. Again we are sorry. We have to remember all the good times.
