AGNES L. CHRYSLER
HAMMONDSPORT-Agnes L. Chrysler, 76 died unexpectedly Monday morning (June 30, 2009) at her home at 8593 Reservoir Hill Road.
Born in the Town of Urbana on August 2, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Herbert and Flora Skinkle. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, James Abbott in 1972; her second husband, Glenn Chrysler, Sr. in 2001 and by her four siblings.
She resided in the Avoca and Hammondsport all of her life and was employed as an aide at the Cohocton Valley Home in Avoca.
Agnes enjoyed collecting small figurines.
Her family includes her three sons, Richard Abbott of Hammondsport, James (Treasa) Abbott III of Avoca and William Abbott also of Avoca; her 11 grandchildren, several step-grandchildren and12 great-grandchildren; her two brothers, Leonard Skinkle of Montour Falls and Norman Skinkle of Bath; also her nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are from Noon to 2 p.m. Thursday at the Avoca Funeral Home, 22 N. Main St., Avoca, where a funeral service will be held following calling hours at 2 p.m. Thursday, with the Rev. Samuel Stetter officiating. Committal services and interment will follow at Valley View Cemetery, Avoca.

We knew Agnes from her teenage years on Waterbury Hill, Avoca and. We found her to be trustworthy , kind and honest. We are thankful to have had her touch our lives.

i am so glad that I finally found my Aunt Agnes and the family after so many years!!! She was so great to me when I first met her. I will never forget her.
