  2. To Chris, Mike,Sherry, and Barbara, Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this very sad time. Roger and I have been best friends since we were about 3 years old, and even though there have been the miles between us, I always knew that that friend was still there. The memories of our days of growing up together are priceless to me. Football, hunting, fishing, you name it we did it together and had a good time, not many have the luck I did to have a friend like Roger. We both turned 70 this year, a mile stone for both us with the health problems we both have delt with, I called and talked to him then, and he was the first phone call I got on my Birthday, again talking about back home and the good ol’days. We have all been blessed to have known and had Roger in our lives. I cannot tell you how sorry I am that Diane and I cannot be there with you all now.Again, Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
With Love Fred & Diane Jensen

  6. Michael, Chris, Barb, Kathy and family,

Your father was the best first cousin a little girl could ask for! Our family visits to Hornell and the cottage are filled with wonderful life-long memories. We are saddened by his death, and thankful we were all able to see each other a few summers ago. My love to all of you.

  7. Dear Mike, Chris, Barbara and Katherine,
Our cousin John Kramer informed us of Roger’s passing. I am so sorry and we send our deepest sympathy to you all. I have such wonderful childhood memories of Roger teaching us to waterski at Waneta Lake and all our regular visits to Aunt Katherine and Uncle Ambrose and Roger in Hornell. I am also pleased that we got together at Bill’s place in 2007 after all those years. Ambrose and my mother, Clara, were brother and sister.Love, Marilyn and Family

  8. I will always remember all the fun summers we enjoyed with Roger and his family at the lake. He was always there with a big smile ready to enjoy the kids. He must have had a backache tossing us all of the raft-and we all came back for more. He was know for his big kind heart, and will be missed by us all. Our love & prayers to you all, call if you need us. The Ells Family

  9. To Chris, Michael, Kathy and Barbara,

We were deeply saddened to hear about your father passing away. My sisters (Marilyn and Fran) and I especially remember our cousin Roger from visits with our parents to see our Uncle Ambrose and Aunt Katherine in Hornell and Lake Waneta. I was still very young, but I can remember one of the highlights of our visit was your father’s arrival at Lake Waneta in his beautiful convertible. I will try to find a photo to share with you of your father in that car. The other thing I remember is when he was a marine and arrived home on leave (from Naples?). He looked so handsome in that uniform!

Before our two recent family reunions, we had not seen our cousin Roger in a very long time and we are glad that we had the opportunity to see him after so many years.

Please accept our condolences at this difficult time. You are in our thoughts.

    With sincere sympathy,
    Barbara Martiny and Family

  10. Kathy, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. have you and your family in my prayers. Wishing you peace at this time of sorrow.

  11. Dear Mike, Chris, Barb and Kathy we are so sorry to hear of your father’s passing. How do you say good bye to a wonderful person like “Uncle” Roger.

I remember “Uncle Roger” as such a fun loving man that loved his family, loved life and loved his time at Waneta Lake. He was always so kind to me and nicknamed me “Hairy Terry” as i had longer hair and he tried to get the clippers on me. Back then i was small and much quicker. Those were the days!!

Roger helped to teach me how to water ski and he just enjoyed watching Mike-Chris-Mark H.- Tim G. and myself play touch football in the yard and then have seaweed fights in the lake.

I will never forget at one of the many parties at the Kramers cottage, Mike dared me to touch the inner part of their bug light. Well i did alright, i was soaking wet and bare foot from swimming and that bug light nocked me on my butt. I remember Roger standing over me and saying i will bet you’ll never do that again! He was smiling from ear to ear.

We had so many good times with all of you and i miss you all! I am sorry we were unable to come down and pay our respects. He was a good person and our thoughts and prayers go out to you all and your families and all of Rogers grandchildren. He will be missed!

  12. My sympathy to the Kramer Family. My God bless you during this time and know what a great person, Roger was.
