ROBERT L. “R.L.” TRAYLOR
HORNELL-Robert L. “R.L.” Traylor, 82, formerly of State St., passed away Wednesday evening (June 18, 2008) at McAuley Manor in North Hornell, where he has resided since 1996.
Born on December 6, 1925, Bob was married to the former Mary Spady, who predeceased him on Sept. 3, 1987.
He was a former resident of Florida and Eastville, Va. and has resided in Hornell for most of his life where he was employed by the Hoeffner Farms for many years.
R.L. is survived by his trusted friend, Tom Hoeffner and his wife, Ann of Hornell.
Calling hours are from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at the Bishop & Johnson Funeral Home, Inc., 285 Main St., Hornell where a funeral and committal service will be held following calling hours at 8 p.m. Saturday with Deacon Robert McCormick officiating. Interment will be in Rural Cemetery, Hornell.

I remember R.L. very well. Mary and RL were living in the Kilbury Homestead on Cream Hill in Fremoont when I was growing up. We lived just up the road on the Tuttle farm. I remember he and Mary as hard working people and good neighbors.
Little Mary and RL were two of the first people we met when we moved from Bufflo to Hornell. He will be remembered fondly by our family.
